2019 BMW Z4 sDrive30i and 2020 Z4 M40i specs released

Following its debut last month, BMW has now released the specs for the 2019 BMW Z4, which will arrive next year as the Z4 sDrive30i and Z4 M40i.

The first model to arrive will be the 2019 BMW Z4 sDrive30i, which is going to arrive in March with a turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque. The four-cylinder is mated to a standard eight-speed automatic transmission. The Z4 sDrive30i can reach 60 mph in 5.2 seconds.

The 2020 BMW Z4 M40i will arrive after the Z4 sDrive30i and is powered by a 3.0L turbocharged six-cylinder that generates 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft. of torque. The six-cylinder is also mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The BMW Z4 M40i Roadster reaches 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.

An adaptive M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes and M Sport differential are standard on BMW Z4 M40i and optional on the Z4 sDrive30i. The Adaptive M Sport suspension lowers the ride height by 10 mm and includes electronically controlled dampers.

BMW has not announced the pricing for either the 2019 Z4 sDrive30i or the 2020 Z4 M40i.
